“There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.”

1 Corinthians 12:4-6

What We Believe

The Godhead

We believe in one true living God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19-20  I John 5:7 )

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that He was God manifest in human flesh. He was like us in all ways except for one, being free from sin. (Isaiah 9:6-7) (John 1:1-14) (John 5:22-23) (John 8:54-58) (John 10:30) We believe in the atoning death of Jesus on the cross offering Himself up as the perfect sacrifice for sinful man. (Romans 5:6-10) (I Thessalonians 5:9-10) We believe that Jesus rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father where He, the only mediator between God and man, continually makes intercession for His own. (Acts 1:8-11) (Romans 8:31-35)

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the agent of action of the Godhead in the world today. We believe that every  believer possesses the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit from the moment they profess their faith in Jesus-Christ.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is only received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and that good deeds are by-products of our salvation and not conditions for it. The salvation of man is exclusively a work of God's grace and is not based upon the performance, in whole or in part, of human works or goodness. We believe that those who believe in their heart and confess with their mouth that Jesus is the Son of God are assured of their salvation from the very moment of their profession of faith. (Matthew 16:21-26) (John 3:16-19) (John 14:6) (Acts 4:12) (Romans 10:9-13) (Ephesians 2:4-9) (I John 5:9-12). We don't believe that someone who is saved can later lose his/her salvation (John 10:28, John 6:39, Philippians 1:6, Titus 2:11-14)

The Church

We believe that the local church is God’s ordained instrument of worship and proclamation in this age.  We believe that the church is both an organism and an organization. We believe that the local church should be totally committed to the edifying of the believers and should be always active in outreach through local evangelism and world missions Ephesians 4:11-16.

We believe that the Church should be innovative while maintaining the purity of the Christian doctrine. We believe that we must pursue excellence and increased ingenuity in our ministry  1 Corinthians 7:17, 14:40

Church Ordinances

We believe that only two ordinances have been committed to the local church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Acts 2:38-42). (Matthew 28:18-20) (Mark 1:4-11)  (Acts 8:36-39) . We believe that Christian baptism is a solemn testimony of spiritual identification with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. ( Romans 6:1-11) We believe that immersion in water is the only proper mode of Scriptural baptism.  We believe that the Lord’s Supper is the commemoration and proclamation of His death until He comes. We don’t believe that any Christian has the authority to prevent a fellow believer from participating in the Lord ‘s Supper or to be baptized (1 Corinthians 11:28-32 ).

Giving

We believe that it is the responsibility of every Christian to financially support the ministry of their local church through freewill offerings. We believe that believers should give cheerfully, as they purpose in their heart, according to their ability and the leading of the Holy Spirit. New Covenant  Church will not distort the holy word of God in an effort to compel people to give any specific percentage of their income. We trust our God and we are persuaded that if He entrusts us with a vision, He will make provision for it.( 2 Corinthians 9:7)

Ministry

We believe that God’s work should be done decently and in order. We believe that ministry should be carried out with transparency, excellence, and without questionable moral ethics, so that no dishonor can be brought against the body of the Lord.  We believe that the fulfillment of the Great Commission requires that all worldly and personal ambitions be subordinated to a total commitment to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is the only one worthy of glory ( Philippians 2:3, Colossians 3:23, 1 Corinthians 14:33)

While we strongly recommend Christian baptism by immersion, we believe that membership to the body of Christ belongs to every believer; consequently, membership to the New Covenant Alliance Church is open to everyone who professes Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and Savior, baptized or not (yet) ( Romans 10:9; Ephesians 5:30; 1 Corinthians 12:27 )
